Kids’ Club: 1st Sunday of every month @ 10AM–12PM
The Hermitage hosts a 2-hour club the first Sunday of each month for children ages 6-12. Join us for a craft, educational presentation, snack, and KITTY CUDDLES!! Parents are free to stay or drop off. The registration fee for the club is $20 (sibling discounts available.)
Read to a Cat: Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM–4:30PM
Kids of all ages are welcome to drop in and read to a cat!
Participants are welcome to bring their own book(s) or read one from our library. After signing the Read to a Cat Logbook, the kids are welcome to pick a book or a FREE PRIZE (ask the front desk for the prize bucket.)
Reading aloud to cats helps improve self-esteem and literacy in children and can be soothing to the cats. The interaction between the child and the cat also creates a life-long human to feline bond. This program is a win-win for all involved.
The Hermitage now offers children’s Cat Camp. The program is designed for children ages 6-11 and serves to educate them to properly care for their feline friends. The curriculum includes instruction on feeding, health, first aid and maintenance of their pet.
