Planned Giving

Planned giving ensures a strong foundation so The Hermitage can continue to fulfill its life-saving mission long into the future.

By considering a simple planned gift, you can be responsible for making a transformational difference in the lives of homeless, sick, abused and misunderstood cats in our community. Your gift will allow us to continue our mission for future generations.

Types of Planned Giving:

Cash
Appreciated Stock, Real Estate or other Appreciated Assets
Bequests of Assets in Will or Living Trust
Bequests of IRA or other retirement plan
Gifts Directly from your IRA
Gifts Directly from Life Insurance Policy
Gifts of Personal Residence or Farm with Retained Life Estate
Charitable Trust

Another way to Give!

We are pleased to announce that we now have a fund in partnership with the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) as a philanthropic resource to help us accomplish our mission. CFSA has the infrastructure and expertise to accept current or estate gifts on our behalf.

You may make a gift at any time designated for The Hermitage and you will receive a letter acknowledging your gift for tax purposes.

Want to learn more?

CFSA staff members are available to meet one-on-one with you at no charge to have a confidential conversation about your giving options. Please contact Kelly Huber, VP for Philanthropy at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, at 520.770.0800 x7302 or [email protected] for more information.

Steps to Making Planned Gifts:

  • 1 Establish -- Contact your attorney and your financial advisor and tell them you’d like to arrange for a planned gift to The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter. Your attorney or financial advisor can then assist you in determining what type of gift best suits your personal and financial circumstances.
  • 2 Discuss -- Talk to your family and friends about your plans and personal wishes in addressing family needs, as well as your legacy gifts.
  • 3 Notify -- Notify The Hermitage of your plans, so we can appreciate your generosity. Please also let us know if you would NOT like to be recognized publically.
