Ribbon Cutting!
The Hermitage No Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary will be joined by the Marana Chamber of Commerce and supporters to commemorate the completion of an outside mural and backyard terrace project with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Hermitage (5278 E. 21st Street). The dedication will take place on Oct. 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The mural project was a collaboration with Sasha McDonald, an art student from the University of Arizona. Sasha did an incredible job of capturing the theme: cats and Tucson. Our backyard “terrace” was completed in early summer, and although a few finishing touches are needed, we are pleased to open it for our 3rd Annual Craft Fair on Sept. 28, 2024. This space allows us to host more on-site events, and it’s available for community use for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.
The Hermitage Executive Director Amber Nix says, “Both of these projects align the Hermitage with the Tucson community’s rich culture. We’re pleased to welcome the Marana Chamber and their Ambassadors as well as other supporters to the official ribbon cutting for these two spaces.”
