Every year 1000+ nonprofits come together across the state to build a better Arizona and tens of thousands of donors come together to support the amazing work nonprofits are doing in our community. Your donation to the Hermitage will help care for the cats who live here permanently. Sanctuary cats are cats who will live at the Hermitage for the rest of their lives. Our medical staff has determined these cats will do better staying at the Hermitage where they are comfortable and in familiar surroundings. Some, like Vander, have a traumatic past which causes behavioral issues (aka inappropriate urination). Others like Cammie and Garlic Bread have been adopted and returned numerous times. They showed signs of severe depression when returned so rather than subject them to the challenge of fitting in somewhere else, they will remain here where staff, volunteers and visitors can love them.
